If a recent leak shared by prominent tipster Instant Digital is to be believed, it appears that Apple's highest-end iPad, the iPad Pro, might not witness a major refresh for the foreseeable future.
Instant Digital suggests that Apple is also not looking into updating the size of the bezels around the iPad Pro's display anytime soon, which is quite disappointing considering that competing products from the Android camp already feature ultra-thin bezels which make the iPad Pro (currently $800 on Amazon) look undeniably quite dated.
The iPad Pro will still get SoC updates
However, spec-bumps from time to time are unsurprisingly still on the cards, primarily focusing on chip upgrades. The current-generation iPad Pro features the powerful Apple M5 SoC, which happens to be the latest and greatest from the Cupertino giant. When the M6 arrives later this year, it is more than likely to grace the iPad Pro sometime later as well.
The Apple iPad Pro also features a pretty stunning tandem OLED Retina display with excellent performance, as indicated by our in-depth review of the tablet. Considering that a major refresh is not expected anytime soon, folks who have already bought the product are unlikely to suffer from buyer's remorse for a good while.
